# Simultaneous & consecutive interpreting

[Website page](https://verlineo.cc/services/interpreting) · en

This document reflects the public website. Starting rates are not a final quotation. Agreements for the individual project take precedence.

Conference, board and deposition interpreting on site or remotely, with interpreters briefed on your material in advance.

Simultaneous interpreting for conferences and shareholder meetings, consecutive for negotiations and interviews, and whispered interpreting for small delegations. Remote simultaneous interpreting is delivered on your platform or ours.

## Our approach

Interpreters receive your agenda, slides and terminology at least a week ahead and prepare against them. For technical or legal proceedings we assign the same pair across sessions so nothing has to be explained twice.

## Deliverables

- Two interpreters per language pair for any session over one hour, as the profession requires
- Advance preparation against your agenda, decks and glossary
- Equipment, booths and technician arranged for on-site assignments
- Remote simultaneous interpreting on your platform, with a tested rehearsal call

## Starting prices

4500 RUB / 49.5 USD / 45 EUR · hour

Starting prices for common language pairs. The final quote depends on the pair, subject, volume, layout and urgency. Native-speaker translation, notarisation, apostilles and delivery are quoted separately. We confirm the total, taxes and deadline before work starts. Currency equivalents are indicative prices, not live exchange rates.

Turnaround: 48 hours. Turnaround is indicative. The final deadline and scope are confirmed after reviewing the materials.

## Formats

On-site, Remote (RSI), Hybrid

## Questions and answers

### How far in advance do you need the material?

Forty-eight hours is workable; a week is better for anything technical. Interpreters prepare against your slides, agenda, names and figures, and that preparation is most of the quality: there is no way to do it in the room.

### Simultaneous or consecutive, which do I need?

Simultaneous for conferences, results calls and anything on a fixed clock; consecutive for negotiations, depositions and small meetings where the pauses are useful. We will tell you which your event actually needs, including when it needs neither.

### Do you supply the booths and the audio?

On site we bring technicians and equipment or work with the venue's, and we test on the morning. Remote sessions run on your platform or ours, with a dry run beforehand so the first failure is not in front of your audience.

## Translation specimens

This example illustrates a translation decision. Client documents are not published here.

fr: Nous ne commentons pas les rumeurs de marché.

en: We do not comment on market rumours.

In the booth the pull is to soften a refusal into «we would rather not comment». A hedge the speaker never uttered becomes the quotation in tomorrow's report. The bluntness of a refusal is carried across exactly, because the bluntness is information.
