# Medical & life-sciences translation

[Website page](https://verlineo.cc/services/life-sciences) · en

This document reflects the public website. Starting rates are not a final quotation. Agreements for the individual project take precedence.

Regulatory dossiers, clinical documentation, labelling and patient materials, prepared to the standard the authority expects.

Clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, informed consent forms, SmPCs, patient information leaflets, pharmacovigilance reports and eCTD modules for EMA and national submissions.

## Our approach

Terminology follows the applicable standard: MedDRA, EDQM, and the authority's own templates: not the translator's preference. Patient-facing texts are separately checked for readability, because a consent form nobody understands is a compliance failure, not a style problem.

## Deliverables

- Terminology aligned to MedDRA, EDQM standard terms and authority templates
- Readability check on all patient-facing documents
- Back-translation and reconciliation where the protocol requires it
- eCTD-ready output for regulatory submission
- Full audit trail of translator, reviser and approval dates

## Starting prices

200 RUB / 2.2 USD / 2 EUR · 250 words

Starting prices for common language pairs. The final quote depends on the pair, subject, volume, layout and urgency. Native-speaker translation, notarisation, apostilles and delivery are quoted separately. We confirm the total, taxes and deadline before work starts. Currency equivalents are indicative prices, not live exchange rates.

Turnaround: 72 hours. Turnaround is indicative. The final deadline and scope are confirmed after reviewing the materials.

## Formats

DOCX, XML, eCTD modules

## Questions and answers

### Do you follow MedDRA and the authority's own templates?

Yes, and we treat the authority's wording as the controlled vocabulary it is. Where the template supplies a standard phrase, the template wins, even when a freer sentence would read better.

### Can you provide back-translation and reconciliation?

Yes, by an independent linguist who has not seen the source, followed by a reconciliation report you can file. We schedule it at the start, because it roughly doubles the calendar and is not something to discover late.

### How is patient-facing material handled differently?

It gets a separate readability pass against the target market's plain-language expectations, checked back against the clinical sections it summarises. Both readers: the assessor and the patient: have to be satisfied by the same sentence.

## Translation specimens

This example illustrates a translation decision. Client documents are not published here.

en: Serious adverse event

de: Schwerwiegendes unerwünschtes Ereignis

Not «schwer». «Schwerwiegend» is the regulatory grade that triggers a reporting obligation; «schwer» only describes how bad it felt. The two words sit one syllable apart in a dictionary and several days apart in a reporting timeline.
