Privacy notice
What this site collects, what happens to the documents you send us, and what you can ask us to do about it.

01The short version
This site sets no cookies for advertising or measurement and embeds no third-party trackers. We do count page views, with software of our own, in a way that cannot identify you: see “How the site is measured”. Nothing you do here is profiled or sold.
We use the contacts and files you provide to prepare a quote and reply. Requests and files stay in the private area of the website and are automatically deleted after 90 days.
02Who is responsible
Verlineo is the bureau’s trading name. The operator’s legal name, registration and tax details must be supplied before public launch.
03What we collect, and why
We store your name, email and/or Telegram, optional phone and organisation, request parameters, message and files to prepare a quote, respond and perform an agreed project.
Enquiries: your name, email address, chosen subject, message and, if you give it: your organisation. We use this to answer you, on the same basis.
Server logs: our hosting provider records the IP address, timestamp and requested path of each request, for security and to keep the service running. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site safely. These logs are short-lived and are not combined with anything else.
The Telegram bot accepts translation requests, documents and messages to the bureau. Telegram also processes these files and conversations under its own policy. Once a request is confirmed, its documents are saved on the bureau server; they are not forwarded to the team group.
04How the site is measured
We count page views so we can tell which parts of this site are actually read. The measurement is our own: no third-party script, no request to anyone else’s server, and it is built so that it cannot identify you even if we wanted it to.
Nothing is written to or read from your device: no cookie, no local storage, not even a session marker. No identifier is created for you, not even a hashed one, and neither your IP address nor your browser string is stored. What is kept is a daily tally: the page path, the interface language, the hostname of the site that referred you, and the loading-speed figures your browser reports.
Because there is no identifier, we cannot tell one visitor from another and do not try to; there is no unique-visitor figure anywhere in our own reporting. If your browser sends Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing at all is recorded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works.
05Documents you send us
Files are stored on the server separately from public pages and are accessible only to authorised staff in the admin area. The production site uses HTTPS in transit. Disk and backup encryption depend on the server configuration.
If the project does not go ahead, we delete the files. If it does, they become part of the engagement and are handled under the confidentiality and data processing agreements signed for it, which is also where retention periods for that project are set.
We do not use client documents to train machine translation engines or any other model, and our suppliers are contractually barred from doing so.
06How long we keep things
Requests and messages, including files, are automatically removed from the website store after 90 days. Accepted project materials are held separately for the period agreed in the contract.
Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short technical period and then discarded.
Measurement: daily totals only, kept for about 13 months and then deleted. They hold no personal data at any point, because none is collected.
Bot conversation drafts are kept for up to 24 hours. Confirmed requests, documents and related correspondence are kept for up to 90 days. Encrypted backups are retained for up to seven days; an earlier backup may retain a deleted record until that backup expires.
07Who else sees your data
Assigned staff and linguists, the hosting provider and Resend for email delivery process the relevant data. Documents are not attached to emails.
We do not sell personal data, do not share it for advertising, and do not disclose it to authorities except where we are legally obliged to.
If you choose Telegram, we store your username and, when you connect the bot, your chat identifier to reply about the request. Telegram processes conversations under its own policy. Client files are never attached to alerts. Team alerts carry only the request reference and project metadata by default.
08Cookies and local storage
The site stores only functional language, theme and currency preferences.
NEXT_LOCALE holds nothing but a two-letter language code. It is the reason a returning visitor whose browser asks for English is not switched out of the language they chose. It is set SameSite=Lax, and marked Secure on the live site.
interlinea-theme is not a cookie at all but a single entry in your browser’s local storage, holding light, dark or system. It is read before the page first paints, which is what stops the wrong theme flashing up, and it is never sent to us.
interlinea-currency:<language>: the selected RUB, USD or EUR currency, stored locally until cleared and never sent to the server.
One further cookie exists on this domain: the sign-in session for the bureau’s own staff. It is set only under /admin, and never on a page reachable from the site.
