We translate concepts, not just words: where a source-system term has no target equivalent we render it and annotate it, rather than choosing a near-miss silently. Redlines and tracked changes are preserved so counsel can follow the negotiation.

«Best endeavours» is a graded English standard with case law behind it, and German law has no ladder of endeavours clauses. Rendering it as «beste Bemühungen» would import an English term of art into a contract read under German law. We state the standard in German terms and flag it, so counsel can decide whether to define it.
