Base rate for straightforward texts and common language pairs. Specialist terminology, rare languages, certification, urgency and layout are quoted separately.

A billing page means 250 source words, not one sheet of a file. Starting rates depend on language and complexity. Certification, scan recognition, complex layout and urgency are quoted separately. We agree the price and deadline before work starts.

Overview

Clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, informed consent forms, SmPCs, patient information leaflets, pharmacovigilance reports and eCTD modules for EMA and national submissions.

Terminology follows the applicable standard: MedDRA, EDQM, and the authority's own templates: not the translator's preference. Patient-facing texts are separately checked for readability, because a consent form nobody understands is a compliance failure, not a style problem.

What you receive

  • Terminology aligned to MedDRA, EDQM standard terms and authority templates
  • Readability check on all patient-facing documents
  • Back-translation and reconciliation where the protocol requires it
  • eCTD-ready output for regulatory submission
  • Full audit trail of translator, reviser and approval dates
02Specimen

One decision, argued in full.

Every discipline has a sentence where the literal rendering is defensible and wrong. This is the one we get asked about most in this one.

01

Serious adverse event

Schwerwiegendes unerwünschtes Ereignis

Not «schwer». «Schwerwiegend» is the regulatory grade that triggers a reporting obligation; «schwer» only describes how bad it felt. The two words sit one syllable apart in a dictionary and several days apart in a reporting timeline.

This example illustrates a translation decision. Client documents are not published here.

03Process

How this work runs.

  1. 01

    Brief and scope

We read the actual documents, confirm the purpose and audience, and return a fixed price and date. No estimate is issued from a word count alone.

  2. 02

    Assignment

We assign a translator experienced in the subject. If you choose the revision tier, a second linguist is assigned for an independent review.

  3. 03

    Translation

Drafting against your approved glossary and translation memory, with queries raised early rather than guessed at.

  4. 04

    Revision

The translator checks the finished text. In the revision tier, a second linguist also compares accuracy, terminology, register and completeness against the source.

  5. 05

    Delivery and aftercare

Delivered in your working format with a certificate where required. Queries after delivery are answered by the same team, at no charge.
